The latest episode of Classical Chicago features an interview with Chicago Symphony Orchestra clarinetist (and veteran Cedille recording artist) John Bruce Yeh and composer James M. Stephenson. Their upcoming release, Liquid Melancholy — Clarinet Music of James M Stephenson, is available April 13 and features guest artists including the Lake Forest Symphony with maestro Vladimir Kulenovic, the Grammy-winning ensemble Chicago Pro Musica, oboist Alex Klein, and pianist Patrick Godon. The wide-ranging program encompasses the world premiere recording of Stephenson's Liquid Melancholy clarinet concerto as well as exciting chamber works featuring the clarinet.
